Fin template comes from an early 90s 7'4 Wil Jobson that I recently found at ReDo Market Dana Point. Tommy kroll beautifully foiled these, and being a twinzer afficionado himself helped. I've had peak moments riding my 7'4 Jobson, and it changed my opinion towards the twinzer fin set up. I really enjoy the amount of control on a mid-sized board. A lot of times certain elements of control create some sort of drag, but it seems to counterbalance that. A key feature as well being Wils infamous nose to tail edge which the Kruzer has. It seems like everyone and there mom hopped on the trend of Twinzers seemingly overnight. Ive made one or two but overall ive really stayed away from it. My understanding was first taught to me by people and friends who have spent a long time riding these and studying them before any mainstream acceptance. Zak Klein & Santa Cruz's Jonah Reimers as examples, enlightened me to learning the lineage of Wil Jobson and the lineage of guys who have been building them out of Santa Cruz and parts of San Diego since the late 80s early 90s. Almost every label has a variation of a twinzer but not many mention anything about the people who have been doing it forever and most seem like bastardized fashion attempts. Ok im done ranting. Theres so much variation and subtitlies to be learned with this fin relationship and how it interacts with the rocker and board itself. Like anything, ive tried to study the real source and honor the original laid out foundation and I like the way its feeling.
