First 'Double Gefilte' April 2025
The first 'Double Gefilte' was shaped in April 2025 as a custom order for Marino Deboer. It was
11'1, thick down rail, with a deep double barrel concave, swallow tail, and double foil marine ply
keels. It floated in the realm of a paddle vehicle and surfing board. A year later I finally had the
money and blank to make a variation for myself. The Gefilte 3 has a similar double barrel bottom
but a bit more refined and dialed back. I dropped the length to 10'6 for a bit more handling. Instead
of a big swallow tail I rounded out the tail for a constart curve to bank on. The Tri-fin Grennan fin
set up following the Frye design of minimal fin and a more dynamic feel. This design has a lot of
Frye Thinman & simmons inspiration behind it.
