5'9 x 19 3/4" x 2 9/16"
Looking to step down my 6'6 Gun-Fish, I came up with this to solve a problem in waves I wanted less length and quicker reaction. Turning into a more 78' - 79' MR reminiscent outline and wing placement. Full vee bottom for rail to rail tipping engagement with the slot channel placed right at the entrance of the main fin to accelerate water out the tail and ideally clean up and turbulance in the back in. For so long I have cornered myself into an idealogy that I only like single or double concaves out the tai and not a lot of vee. But experimenting more and more with an expanding vee and/or spiral vee I believe this bottom to be extremely effective with the twinzer fit set up. Each panel directing water flow directly through the vane and main fins as you shift rail to rail. The one aspect of the panel vee I have found draw backs is the lack of lift in flatter sections where I am trying to create speed. The concave through the vee pannels helps slightly regain that feeling. I've mentioned before my patience will using a twinzer fin configuration on some of my boards, but I have started to tap into an understanding of placement and efficiency that I can't deny the benefits for performance anymore. Peak moments.
Slick eyeing up and helping me tune my vent channel. Cleaning water flow little extra bite off the tail.
Big thanks to Tommy K and Slick though for the channel setting technique and approval.
