Light roll to single concave - drop double under fins - flat out tail. Attempted a frye style rail / foil. Rail resin edge at fins out tail. This board is blowing my mind. The more I ride thruster fin set up with this fin design the less I want to ride anything else.
Boomerang Grennan / Skip Frye template. The center fin is slightly smaller then the front two. Tommy Kroll foiled these for me in this beautiful amber color that matched the airbrush really nice.
Testing ground.
This air brush was inspired by an August 1978 Surfer Mag cover of Col Smith (Narrabeen) doing a crazy backside wheelie stall thing. The design blew my mind, so I wanted to try it out on a board intended for clean smoothe surfing, in contrast with a radical design. Jonathan Grandini at Resin Services nailed the re-interpretation.
